Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 11 games. In a quiet game until the last inning, the St.Cloud Rox took down the Bismarck Larks 2-1.

Traverse City 12, Kalamazoo 2

The Traverse City Pit Spitters jumped out early, scoring six runs in the fifth, defeating the Kalamazoo Growlers 12-2. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 3-for-4, scoring twice and collecting three RBIs. Trevor Johnson (Duke University) went 2-for-4, including an extra-base hit, scoring once and tallying two RBIs. Jayce Lee (University of Notre Dame) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and scored twice. Jack Crittendon (Kalamazoo Valley CC) earned the win, throwing five innings with one strikeout, allowing five walks, two runs, and three hits.

Rockford 14, Kenosha 9

The Rockford Rivets came out hot with an early four-run lead to help take down the Kenosha Kingfish 14-9. Kolby Felix (Colorado Mesa University) went 1-for-4, scoring three times with a bases-clearing double and one stolen base. Jack Sheri (Wabash Valley CC) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with two RBIs and one stolen base. Ean Czrech (Wabash Valley CC) went 1-for-1 with two RBIs. Nolan Belcher (University of Kentucky) went 1-for-1, scoring once with two RBIs. Aidan Camberg (Santa Barbara City CC) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Peyton Ryback (Wallace-Dothan CC) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Ryan Bakes (University of South Carolina) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with a solo home run. Ivan Dahlberg (Illinois-Springfield) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Connor Brady (Labette CC) earned the win, throwing 6.1 innings with one strikeout, allowing six walks, six runs, and five hits.

La Crosse 12, Duluth 9

The La Crosse Loggers top the Duluth Huskies 12-9 in tonight’s hitters’ duel. Ryan Costello (Louisiana State University) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, collecting four RBIs and one stolen base. Mikey Ryan III (Louisiana State University) went 3-for-5, including a triple and a double, recording two RBIs, two stolen bases, and one run. Aidan Paradine (Siena College) went 2-for-5 with a double, tallying two RBIs and one run. Ethan Edinger (University of Louisville) went 3-for-4, scoring three times with a double and one RBI. Anthony Zarzana (Wallace CC Dothan) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs and one stolen base. Elijah Pairchild (Cal State Northridge) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with one RBI. Madison 10, Royal Oak 3

The Madison Mallards pulled away late to defeat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 10-3. Brock Lulewicz (Wichita State University) went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs on the day. Jimmy Anderson (Heartland CC) went 3-for-4, scoring once with two stolen bases. Thomas Curry (University of Illinois-Chicago) utilized a pinch-hit opportunity, going 1-for-1 with two RBIs. Chase Van Ameyde (University of Notre Dame) went 3-for-5, including a double, scoring once and tallying one RBI. Holden Harris (University of Texas, San Antonio) earned the win, throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing one hit and one walk. Joe Husak (Illinois State University) got the save, throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing one walk and no hits.

St. Cloud 2, Bismarck 1

In a quiet game until the last inning, the St.Cloud Rox took down the Bismarck Larks 2-1. Tyler Bishop (University of Nebraska Omaha) came in clutch, going 2-for-4, driving in the only two runs in the ninth to win it for the Rox. Carter Jorissen (Cal State Bakersfield) went 2-for-3, scoring once. Carter Mick (University of Nebraska Omaha) earned the win, throwing 3.2 scoreless innings with six strikeouts, allowing one hit. Collier Barham (Chipola CC) got the save, throwing one inning, allowing one hit. JP Robertson (University of Mississippi) set the tone with a dominating start, throwing 4.1 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, allowing three hits and one walk.

Wausau 10, Fond du Lac 1

The Wausau Woodchucks dominated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 10-1. Josh McClintock (Dodge City CC) went 2-for-4, scoring three times with three stolen bases. Anthony Quigley (University of South Florida) went 2-for-5 with a solo shot and scored twice. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) went 2-for-4, including a double, and scored once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Jake Weatherspoon (Indian River State CC) went 2-for-5 with a double, recording one run and two RBIs. Tyson Potts (Wayland Baptist University) earned the win with a strong performance on the mound, throwing seven scoreless innings with twelve strikeouts, allowing three hits and one walk. 

Wisconsin Rapids 16, Lakeshore 9

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters exploded for 16 runs on 15 hits, including a five-run ninth inning, to overpower the Lakeshore Chinooks 16-9 in a high-scoring battle. Jack Guerrero (James Madison University) went 2-for-4, including a two-run home run, collecting four RBIs and two runs. Ashton Zacher (Southern Nevada CC) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and one stolen base. Luke Skinner (Loyola Marymount University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs. Mason Onate (Pensacola State College) went 4-for-4 with one RBI and scored four times. Brody Rasmussen (University of Maine) went 2-for-6, scoring twice with a pair of doubles. Dylan Sayles (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 3-for-4, including a double, and recorded three RBIs. Cannon Restine (Butler University) earned the win, throwing 0.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout. Espn Simpson (Butler University) got the save, throwing three innings with four strikeouts, allowing two walks and one hit.

Eau Claire 6, Badlands 4

The Eau Claire Express topped the Badlands Big Sticks 6-4 in tonight’s matchup. Nick Mascaro (Cal State Bakersfield) went 2-for-3, including an extra-base hit, scoring twice, tallying one RBI, and one stolen base. Jackson Glueck (Pima CC) went 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Connor Massimini (East Texas Baptist University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Walker Retz (University of St. Thomas (MN)) earned the win, throwing six innings with ten strikeouts, allowing six hits and four runs.

Battle Creek 11, Green Bay 5

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks us back-to-back four-run innings to help beat the Green Bay Rockers 11-5. Joshua Algarin (Walsh University) went 1-for-3, including a solo home run, scoring three runs and recording a stolen base. Ryan Skjonsby (Washington State University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and collected three RBIs. Albert Jennings (Bushnell) went 1-for-4, scoring three times with one RBI and one stolen base. Keaton Fisher (University of Northern Colorado) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and recording three RBI. Cooper Smith (University of Oklahoma) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Jalan Jones (Norfolk State University) went 2-for-5, scoring once with two RBI. Chris Cody (Chaminade University) earned the win, throwing .2 scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing one walk. Camdyn Martindale (St. Peter’s University) got the save, throwing three scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing three hits and two walks.

Mankato 8, Minot 1

The Mankato MoonDogs tail away in the ninth and take down the Minot Hot Tots 8-1. Drew Veatch (Johnson County CC) came in clutch with a pinch-hit grand slam. Cooper Milford (Georgia State University) went 1-for-3, scoring twice with one RBI. Dylan Drake (Sacramento City CC) went 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Mark Eddie (Buena Vista University) earned the win, throwing three scoreless no-hit innings with five strikeouts, allowing one walk. Will Page-Allen (Feather River CC) had a flourishing finish, throwing one inning with three strikeouts, allowing one hit.

Waterloo 6, Rochester 5

The Waterloo Bucks pull off the win, beating the Rochester Honkers 6-5. Ethan Rossi (Eastern Illinois University) went 2-for-5, including a double with two RBIs. Marcus Heusohn (McNeese State University) went 2-for-4, scoring once with two RBIs. Joel Roberts (San Joaquin Delta (CA) CC) went 3-for-5, including a double, scoring once with two RBIs. Kole Bradley (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win, throwing .1 of an inning, giving up two walks and one hit. Nakni Anna (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) got the save, shutting down the last inning.
