Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 11 games. Green Bay collects its fourth win in a row. The La Crosse Loggers erupted and powered their way to a wild, high-scoring victory, taking down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 25-13.

Rochester 8, Waterloo 0

The Rochester Honkers shut out the Waterloo Bucks in tonight’s matchup. Cam Anstey (United States Air Force Academy) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with a two-run double and a solo home run. Maddox Haley (Gonzaga University) went 2-for-4, scoring once with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Drew Charney (Butler University) went 1-for-3 with a double, scoring once, and driving in one run. Ryan Higgins (Los Angeles Valley CC) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing two hits and one walk.

Rockford 10, Madison 1

The Rockford Rivets exploded early and never looked back, defeating the Madison Mallards 10-1. Jayce Blalock (Arkansas-Little Rock) had himself a day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a grand slam, a solo home run, and a two-run double, driving in seven runs and scoring twice. Nolan Belcher (University of Kentucky) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Sam Flores (Kansas State) collected two RBIs and two runs scored. Reece Tarini (Louisiana Tech University) earned the win, throwing seven innings with one strikeout, allowing seven hits, two walks, and one run.

La Crosse 25, Thunder Bay 13

The La Crosse Loggers erupted and powered their way to a wild, high-scoring victory, taking down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 25-13. Eli Small (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-5, recording a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Kedren Kinzie (University of Hawaii) went 2-for-4, scoring three times, tallying three RBIs, and stealing one base. Cole Eaton (Texas Christian University) went 2-for-6 with a double, scoring once, driving in four runs, and stealing one base. Brayden Jefferis ( University of Michigan) went 3-for-5, scoring twice with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Ethan Edinger (University of Louisville) went 2-for-4, scoring four times with four RBIs. RJ Hamilton (Vanderbilt University) went 2-for-5, scoring four times with three RBIs. Greg LaChance (University of Illinois) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with a two-run home run. Lucas Johnson (Eastern Michigan University) went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Kael Babin (University of Nebraska Omaha) went 1-for-1 with a triple, tallying four runs and two RBIs. Manny Alberto (Georgia Gwinnett College) went 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once with three RBIs. Davin Ronquist (Weatherford College) earned the win, throwing two innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits, four runs, and two walks.

Royal Oak 4, Wausau 3

The Royal Oak Leprechauns held off a late push from the Wausau Woodchucks to secure the 4-3 victory. Tristan Crane (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Owen Turner (Yale University) went 1-for-3 with a double, scoring once, and driving in one run. Cade Baldridge (University of Kansas) went 3-for-4, scoring twice with a solo home run, a double, and one stolen base. Zach Knowlton (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and one stolen base. Ryan Kruse (Valparaiso University) earned the win, throwing five innings with nine strikeouts, allowing three hits, three walks, and one run. Colton Jones (Florida Gulf Coast University) gets the save, striking out the last batter of the game.

Kalamazoo 7, Battle Creek 6

The Kalamazoo Growlers outlasted the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 7-6 in a back-and-forth showdown. Antonio Perrotta (University of Virginia) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Mike Sprockett (Belmont University) went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Jayce Lee (University of Notre Dame) went 1-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Joshua Algarin (Walsh University) went 2-for-3, scoring once with two RBIs. Donny Tober (Warner Pacific University) earned the win, throwing two scoreless no-hit innings, striking out two of six batters faced.

 

Eau Claire 4, Bismarck 2

The Eau Claire Express rallied late, scoring three runs in the ninth to stun the Bismarck Larks 4-2. Quinton Coats (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. Sam Erickson (Texas A&M University) went 2-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Erick Dessens (Paradise Valley CC) went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base. Lorenzo Atwell (Walters State CC) earned the win, throwing 2.2 scoreless no-hit innings with one strikeout. Andres Castro (Pima CC) got the save, throwing one scoreless no-hit inning, striking out two of four batters faced. Jace Kirby (Walters State CC) had a dominating start, throwing five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, allowing three walks and one hit.

Duluth 9, Minot 4

The Duluth Huskies took control with a five-run fifth inning, topping the Minot Hot Tots 9-4. Ethan Surowiec (University of Mississippi) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, tallying three RBIs and one run scored. Michael Smith (Prairie View A&M University) went 1-for-2, scoring three times with one RBI and two stolen bases. Henry Allen (University of Georgia) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Max Ortega (Cal State Fullerton) went 1-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Maddox Meyer (University of Nebraska Omaha) earned the win, throwing five innings with seven strikeouts, allowing two hits and one run.

Waterloo 14, Rochester 2

The Waterloo Bucks dominated from the start, scoring six runs in the first inning to help take down the Rochester Honkers 14-2. Jake Bechtel (North Carolina State University) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a triple, tallying two RBIs and two runs scored. Larry Edwards (McNeese State University) went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Will Johnson (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) went 1-for-5, scoring once with three RBIs. Ian Halverson (Saint Louis University) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and one run. Camden Lyke (St. Cloud State University) earned the win, throwing 5.1 innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits, two runs, and one walk.

Green Bay 9, Lakeshore 0

The Green Bay Rockers shut out the Lakeshore Chinooks 9-0 behind a dominant performance. Eric Jeon (Columbia University) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and scored twice. Eli Selga (San Diego State University) went 1-for-5 with a bases-clearing triple, tallying four RBIs. Parker Martin (University of Southern Indiana) went 3-for-5, scoring twice with one RBI. Caden Crask-Weeks (Three Rivers CC) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk.

Fond du Lac 8, Kenosha 7

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders held off a late push from the Kenosha Kingfish to claim an 8-7 victory. Patrick Graham (Penn State University) went 3-for-4 with a two-run triple and a pair of solo home runs. James Hankerson Jr. (Florida State University) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with one RBI and one stolen base. Rex Watson (University of San Diego) went 1-for-3 with a double, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Cole (Augustana University (MN)) earned the win, throwing seven innings with six strikeouts, allowing seven hits, six runs, and two walks.

Mankato 16, Badlands 9

The Mankato MoonDogs erupted for 13 runs through the first five innings and held off a late rally to defeat the Badlands Big Sticks 16-9. Evan Saunders (Iowa Western CC) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with a three-run home run, tallying five RBIs and two runs. Anthony Avalos (University of Houston) went 2-for-3, scoring four times with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Cannon Peery (Grand Canyon University) went 3-for-5, scoring once with two RBIs. Adrian Beltre Jr. (University of San Diego) went 2-for-6, scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Troy Berg (Augustana University (MN)) went 5-for-6 with three RBIs and one stolen base. Quade Peters (Eastern Illinois University) went 1-for-2, scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Caleb Koskie (Indiana University) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with three strikeouts, allowing five walks and three hits.
