Madison 11, Minot 9

The Madison Night Mares outslugged the Minot Honeybees 11-9 in a high-scoring showdown. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) had a day at the plate going 2-for-4 with a bases-clearing double and a solo home run. Paige Hanson (UW-Green Bay) went 3-for-4, scoring twice and tallying a double. Addison Blomberg (South Dakota State University) went 2-for-3 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Bella Cimino (Florida Atlantic University) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Trinity Gregg (University of Jamestown) went 1-for-3, scoring once with two RBIs. Carly Cummings (San Jose State University) went 2-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Jordan Felci (University of Wisconsin) earned the win, throwing three innings with three strikeouts, allowing four hits, two runs, and two walks. 

La Crosse 19, Wausau 6

The La Crosse Steam dominated from the start, erupting for eleven runs in the first inning and cruising to a 19-6 mercy rule win over the Wausau Ignite. Avary Makarewicz (University of Tennessee at Martin) was an RBI machine in tonight’s outing, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a triple, driving in six runs, scoring three times, and stealing a base. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-3, tallying a double, scoring four times, and driving in three runs. Jackie Larsen (Bemidji State University) went 4-for-5, recording a triple, one RBI, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. Rachel Mori (UNC-Pembroke) went 2-for-4, scoring once with two RBIs. Riley Stiles (Lake Forest College) earned the win, throwing 4.1 innings with four strikeouts, allowing nine hits, three earned runs, and five walks.
