Thursday’s Northwoods League slate featured 3 games.

Minot 9, Wausau 8

The Minot Honeybees outlasted the Wausau Ignite 9-8 in a wild slugfest. Shayna Myshrall (Niagara University) had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, recording four RBIs and one run scored. Virginia Mambelli (Florida SouthWestern State CC) had a perfect outing, going 4-for-4, including a double, driving in one run, and scoring once. Olivia Hernandez (Purdue Northwest) went 2-for-4, scoring once with one RBI. Molly Fitzgerald (University of Missouri-KC) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Riley Schwisow (Northwestern State University) went 3-for-4, scoring twice with a triple and driving in one run. Ashleigh Heiderscheit (San Jacinto North CC) earned the win, throwing seven innings with three strikeouts, allowing eight hits, four runs, and three walks.

Mankato 12, La Crosse 3

The Mankato Habaneros dominated from the start in a 12-3 victory over the La Crosse Steam. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run triple and an RBI double, recording three RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Marleigh Louvar (University of Saint Thomas) went 1-for-3, scoring once with two RBIs. Bella Coulman (Wisconsin- Green Bay) went 3-for-5, scoring twice with one RBI and one stolen base. Avary Makarewicz (University of Tennessee at Martin) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double, driving in one run, and scoring once. Sailor Hall (Minnesota State University) earned the win, throwing four innings with one strikeout, allowing five hits and two earned runs. Alexis Michon (Trine University) closed out the game, throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts and giving up one hit.

Minot 5, Wausau 1

The Minot Honeybees rallied late to defeat the Wausau Ignite 5-1 and secure the doubleheader sweep. Shayna Myshrall (Niagara University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, recording three RBIs and one run scored. Bella Cimino (Florida Atlantic University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, recording one RBI and one run scored. Julianna Verni (Syracuse University) earned the win, throwing seven innings, tallying six strikeouts, allowing four hits, one run, and one walk.
