Fond du Lac 11, Kalamazoo 9
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders jumped out to an early lead and held off a late rally to defeat the Kalamazoo Growlers 11-9. Jarren Sanderson (Cal State Northridge) had a day at the plate going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, tallying four RBIs and three runs scored. TP Wentworth (Clemson University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and scored twice. Jonathan Fitz (University of San Diego) went 1-for-4, scoring once with two RBIs. Gabe Springer (Stanford University) went 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in three runs. Noah Coy (University of Notre Dame) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with two RBIs. Hudson Johnson (University of Cincinnati) earned the win, throwing 3.1 innings with four strikeouts, allowing four walks, one hit, and one run.
