Madison 4, Mankato 3
The Madison Night Mares rallied late to walk it off and take down the Mankato Habaneros 4-3. Ella Stephenson (University of Michigan) came in clutch with the walk-off knock. Gretta Grassel (Mississippi State University) went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and scored once. Bella Coulman (Wisconsin- Green Bay) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 1-for-2, scoring once with one stolen base. Jordan Felci (University of Wisconsin) earned the win, throwing four innings with five strikeouts, allowing three hits, one walk, and zero earned runs.
La Crosse 15, Minot 4
The La Crosse Steam exploded early, putting up 15 runs on 14 hits to run rule the Minot Honeybees 15-4. Rachel Mori (UNC-Pembroke) was an RBI machine, going perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3, including a grand slam, recording seven RBIs and two runs scored. Calli Janik (Mount Mercy University) went 4-for-4 with a double, scoring three times, driving in three runs, and stealing one base. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Elly Eckrich (University of Tennessee-Martin) earned the win, throwing four scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing four walks and one hit.
Mankato 12, Madison 7
The Mankato Habaneros exploded for back-to-back five-run innings to outlast the Madison Night Mares 12-7. Alexis Michon (Trine University) had a day at the plate going 2-for-4 with a grand slam, driving in six RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Skylinn Pogue (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-3, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 3-for-5, scoring twice with one RBI. Ella Stephenson (University of Michigan) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Trinity Kennemer (MSU Denver) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Sami Potvin (Iowa State University) earned the win, throwing 4.2 innings, allowing six hits, four runs, and two walks.
