Thursday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Rockford Rivets staged a dramatic comeback with a seven-run eighth inning and walked it off in the 10th to take down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 9-8.

Madison 9, Wausau 3

The Madison Mallards stormed back with a late-game surge to defeat the Wausau Woodchucks 9-3. Jimmy Anderson (Heartland CC) went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Daniel Rogers (University of Iowa) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a solo home run, recording three RBIs, three runs scored, and one stolen base. Dom Rodriguez (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. Isaac Milburn (Purdue University) went the distance, earning the win by throwing seven innings, recording ten strikeouts, and allowing seven hits and two runs.

Waterloo 5, Willmar 2

The Waterloo Bucks capitalized early and held on late to defeat the Willmar Stingers 5-2. Cole Smith (Northern Illinois University) went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in one run, scoring twice, and stealing one base. Larry Edwards (McNeese State University) went 1-for-3, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Frankie Santiago (University of Kansas) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Colton Griffin (Texas Christian University) went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Aidan Elfering (University of Dubuque) earned the win, throwing six innings with two strikeouts, allowing nine hits, two runs, and two walks.

Rockford 9, Battle Creek 8

Royal Oak 5, Kenosha 4

The Royal Oak Leprechauns held off a late push from the Kenosha Kingfish to secure a 5-4 victory. Aidan Schuck (Oakland University) went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base. Max Orozco (Oakland University) went 1-for-4 with a double and scored once. Peyton Ryback (Wallace-Dothan CC) went 2-for-4 with a two-run double, recording three RBIs. Kalamazoo 14, Traverse City 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers exploded for 14 runs on 10 hits, dominating the Traverse City Pit Spitters 14-2. Matthew Thompson (Kent State University) went 1-for-5 with a grand slam, recording four RBIs and two runs scored. The La Crosse Loggers used a massive fourth inning to power past the Thunder Bay Border Cats 11-3. Max Kalk (Ball State University) went 1-for-2 with a double, tallying three runs scored and two RBIs. Ethan Edinger (University of Louisville) went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and one stolen base. Camden Tanner (University of Arkansas-Monticello) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Bobby McDonough (University of Massachusetts) earned the win, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts, allowing one hit and one walk. Jake Jakubowski (University of Illinois-Chicago) got the save, throwing three innings with three strikeouts, allowing three hits and one run.

Rochester 12, Duluth 5

The Rochester Honkers cruised past the Duluth Huskies to a 12-5 victory. Mankato 7, Eau Claire 6

The Mankato MoonDogs held off a late surge from the Eau Claire Express to escape with a 7-6 victory. Wisconsin Rapids 8, Lakeshore 4

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Lakeshore Chinooks 8-4. Junior Barajas (Saddleback CC) went 2-for-5 with a grand slam, recording five RBIs, one run scored, and one stolen base. Carson McEntire (Oregon State University) went 2-for-3 with a double, tallying two RBIs and three runs scored. Fond du Lac 10, Green Bay 1

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders surged ahead to power past the Green Bay Rockers 10-1. Landon Mensik (Xavier University) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in one run, and scoring three times. Badlands 6, St. Cloud 4

The Badlands Big Sticks rallied late, scoring three runs in the eighth to complete a 6-4 comeback victory over the St. Cloud Rox. Connor Massimini (Gonzaga) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Bo Shinkle (Gonzaga) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and one stolen base. Jaixen Frost (University of Iowa) went 1-for-3, scoring twice and stealing two bases. Willmar 7, Waterloo 2

The Willmar Stingers scored in three straight innings to defeat the Waterloo Bucks 7-2. Ryan Tayman (Cal Poly University) went 2-for-4 with a double, recording two runs and scoring once. Liam Bushey (Western Illinois University) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Sean Stewart (Iowa Central CC) earned the win, throwing one inning with one strikeout, allowing one walk and one run. Dylan Driessen (South Dakota State University) got the save, throwing two scoreless no-hit innings with three strikeouts, allowing one walk.
