Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Thunder Bay Border Cats walked it off in the 11th to edge the Rochester Honkers 4-3.

Minot 14, Bismarck 5

The Minot Hot Tots erupted offensively to defeat the Bismarck Larks 14-5. TJ Stottlemyre (Cal State Fullerton) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs, three runs scored, and one stolen base. Matt Toomey (Long Beach State University) went 2-for-5 with a double, recording three RBIs, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. Rowan Felsch (UC Irvine) went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs, and one run scored. Cade Dickinson (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) earned the win, throwing 3.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts, allowing three hits and one walk.

Green Bay 6, Wausau 5

The Green Bay Rockers come back to secure a 6-5 win over the Wausau Woodchucks. Caleb Daniel went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run. Xaige Lancaster (University of Hawaii) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Stefan Di Corrado (Dartmouth College) went 1-for-2, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Max Galvin (University of Miami (FL)) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, scoring twice. Jake Berkland (Minnesota State University) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Sam Brummund (Cloud County CC) earned the win, throwing two innings with two strikeouts, allowing one hit and one run.

Lakeshore 14, Fond du Lac 3

The Lakeshore Chinooks exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning to cap off a dominant 14-3 win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. Grant Gray went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and scored twice. Cade Sears went 4-for-5 with a triple, recording two RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Owen Deshazo (Boston College) went 3-for-5 with a double, tallying two RBIs, three runs scored, and two stolen bases. Donnie Edgar (Panola CC) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with five strikeouts, allowing three walks and two hits.

Battle Creek 10, Traverse City 7

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks staged a massive six-run sixth inning to rally past the Traverse City Pit Spitters for a 10-7 win. Caleb Estrada (Grand Valley State University) went 2-for-4, scoring once with three RBIs. Nathan Ball (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-2, scoring twice with two RBIs. Hunter Smolinski (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Cole Prout (Central Michigan University) went 2-for-3 with a double, tallying two runs scored, one RBI, and one stolen base. Kaveh Meredith (University of Northern Colorado) earned the win, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing three walks and one hit.

Duluth 7, Eau Claire 2

The Duluth Huskies used a four-run third inning to take control and never looked back, defeating the Eau Claire Express 7-2. Jake Downing (Cal Poly University) was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a hat trick of doubles, driving in three runs, and scoring twice. Tommy Farmer (UC Irvine) went 1-for-4 with a double, recording one RBI and one run scored. Nick Terhaar (University of Iowa) earned the win, throwing six scoreless innings with two strikeouts, allowing two walks and one hit.

Madison 17, Wisconsin Rapids 2

The Madison Mallards exploded for 10 runs in the first inning and cruised to a dominant 17-2 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Davis Hamilton (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, driving in four runs and scoring four times. Brock Lulewicz (Wichita State University) went 1-for-3, scoring once with three RBIs. Daniel Rogers (University of Iowa) went 3-for-5, scoring once with three RBIs. Dominic Jacoby (University of Louisville) went 3-for-6 with a double, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Carson Hansen (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-4 with a double, scoring three times and driving in one run. Junior Barajas (Saddleback CC) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. Charlie West (University of Connecticut) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, allowing five walks and two hits. Jase Schueller (Lubbock Christian University) had a dominating close with two perfect innings, striking out three of six batters faced.

Royal Oak 9, Rockford 3

The Royal Oak Leprechauns jumped out to a fast start, scoring seven runs in the first two innings and cruising to a 9-3 win over the Rockford Rivets. Jack Dauer (Yale University) went 2-for-4 with a double, recording three RBIs and two runs scored. Owen Turner (Yale University) went 2-for-4, scoring once with two RBIs and one stolen base. Parker McDaniels (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Ryan Tyranski (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-2, scoring twice with four stolen bases. Preston Barr (University of Michigan) set the tone with a dominating start, throwing four perfect innings with nine strikeouts. Gavin Moczydlowsky (Michigan State University) got the save, throwing three perfect innings with six strikeouts.

Thunder Bay 4, Rochester 3

The Thunder Bay Border Cats walked it off in the 11th to edge the Rochester Honkers 4-3. Dylan Snead (Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi) came in clutch, driving in the winning run and going 1-for-1 at the plate. Calvin Warrillow (Dodge City CC (KS)) went 1-for-3 with a double, tallying three RBIs and one stolen base. Jeremy Sheffield (Georgetown University (MD)) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a triple, scoring twice. Tommy Eisenstat (Gonzaga University) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Carson Priebe (McLennan CC (TX)) got the save with a perfect inning. Braden Gluth (Creighton University (NE)) dominated with six scoreless innings, striking out six, allowing three walks, and giving up one hit.

Willmar 5, Mankato 3

The Willmar Stingers rallied with two runs in the 10th to outlast the Mankato MoonDogs 5-3 in extra innings. Carter Walsh (Northwest Nazarene University) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and scored twice. Sam Hunt (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in two runs and scoring once. Anthony Avalos (University of Houston) went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in one run. Dylan Driessen (South Dakota State University) earned the win, throwing 2.1 scoreless no-hit innings with three strikeouts, allowing one walk.

Kalamazoo 16, Kenosha 13

The Kalamazoo Growlers outlasted the Kenosha Kingfish 16-13 in a wild 10-inning slugfest. Cole Garner (Chipola CC) went 2-for-3 with a double, driving in five runs and scoring one run. Micah Rienstra-Kiracofe (Kent State University) went 3-for-6 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and four runs scored. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 2-for-5 with a double, tallying two RBIs and four runs scored. Jadan Boyce (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double, tallying two RBIs and two runs scored. James McCoy (University of Kentucky) went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored, and one RBI. Logan Lockhart (Kalamazoo College) earned the win, throwing 2.1 innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits, three runs, and one walk.

Waterloo 3, La Crosse 2

The Waterloo Bucks used a three-run fourth inning to take the lead and hold on for a 3-2 win over the La Crosse Loggers. Owen Ross (USC – Upstate) went 1-for-2, scoring once with two RBIs and one stolen base. Parker Sweeney (Virginia Tech) went 1-for-3 with a double and scored once. John Pearson (Louisiana State University) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Eli Pillsbury (North Carolina State University) earned the win, throwing 5.2 innings with nine strikeouts, allowing five hits, five walks, and two runs.

Badlands 5, St. Cloud 3

The Badlands Big Sticks scored all five of their runs in the fourth to take down the St. Cloud Rox 5-3. Maddox McDonald (Trinity University (TX)) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Gavyn Schlotterback (Kansas) went 2-for-4 with a two-run double and scored once. Augusto Mungarrieta (University of Kansas) went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Brandon Kosel (Utah Tech) earned the win, throwing four innings with three strikeouts, allowing three hits, three walks, and two runs.

Traverse City 19, Battle Creek 7

The Traverse City Pit Spitters exploded for 19 runs on 19 hits to dominate the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 19-7. Brandon Sanchez (University of Northern Colorado) went 3-for-4 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Brett Rozman (Central Arizona CC) went 2-for-5 with a double, recording three RBIs and three runs scored. Cade Collins (Wofford College) went 2-for-3, scoring once with three RBIs. Aaron Piasecki (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-4 with a triple, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Ryan Kroepel (Utah Tech University) went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run. Aidan Arbogast (Wayne State University (MI)) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and scored twice. Andrew Cotten (East Tennessee State University) earned the win, throwing 1.2 innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits and two runs.
