Madison 12, La Crosse 7

The Madison Night Mares stormed back with a six-run fifth inning and added insurance in the sixth to defeat the La Crosse Steam 12-7. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) exploded at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, driving in four runs and scoring twice. Ava Carroll (University of Washington) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs and three runs scored. Trinity Kennemer (MSU Denver) went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles, recording one RBI and three runs scored. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, recording three RBIs. Calli Janik (Mount Mercy University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Paytn Monticelli (University of Oklahoma) earned the win, throwing 6.1 innings with five strikeouts, allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk. 

Minot 7, Wausau 6

The Minot Honeybees held off a strong start from the Wausau Ignite to win 7-6 in a back-and-forth battle. Virginia Mambelli (University of South Alabama) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a double, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Carly Cummings (San Jose State University) went 1-for-3, scoring twice and stealing one base. Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, driving in all six runs for Wausau, and scored twice. Julianna Verni (Syracuse University) earned the win, throwing six innings with three strikeouts, allowing five hits, three runs, and one walk.
