Friday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The St. Cloud Rox rallied late to defeat the Waterloo Bucks 6-1, scoring three runs in the ninth to seal the win.

Green Bay 12, Wisconsin Rapids 8

The Green Bay Rockers outslugged the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12-8. Caleb Daniel (Georgia Tech) went 3-for-4 with a double, driving in one run, scoring twice, and stealing two bases. JP Peltier (Wright State University) went 1-for-5 with a double, recording two RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Parker Martin (University of Southern Indiana) went 2-for-2 with a double, scoring once and driving in one run. Junior Barajas (Saddleback CC) went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles, recording three RBIs and two runs scored. Keaton Baird (Harding University) earned the win, throwing 3.1 innings with four strikeouts, allowing eight hits, five runs, and three walks.

Traverse City 10, Rockford 6

The Traverse City Pit Spitters powered past the Rockford Rivets 10-6, fueled by a six-run sixth inning. Brandon Sanchez (University of Northern Colorado) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with three RBIs and two stolen bases. Nathaneal Coupet (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Aaron Piasecki (Central Michigan University) went 3-for-3, scoring three times. Harrison Bowman (Troy University) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Tate Shimao (University of Hawaii) went 1-for-1 with a solo home run. Cooper Hinson (Marshall University) went 2-for-2 with a solo home run. Max Hammond (Central Michigan University) earned the win, throwing six innings with three strikeouts, allowing five hits, four runs, and five walks.

Madison 7, Wausau 7

The Madison Mallards and Wausau Woodchucks battled to a 7-7 tie in a shortened six-inning game. Michael Lippe (University of Minnesota) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a three-run home run, recording five RBIs. Mitch Namie (New Mexico State) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Max Galvin (University of Miami (FL)) went 2-for-2 with a double, driving in four runs, scoring once, and stealing one base. Dom Rodriguez (University of Arizona) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run.

Kenosha 16, Royal Oak 14

The Kenosha Kingfish outlasted the Royal Oak Leprechauns 16-14 in a wild slugfest featuring 27 combined hits. Noah Alvarez (UC Irvine) went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and scored twice. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, scoring three times, and stealing one base. Jacob Vokal (Davidson College) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with two RBIs and one stolen base. Ryan Tyranski (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-4 with a triple, driving in two runs, scoring three times, and stealing four bases. Dylan Larkins (Georgetown University) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording three RBIs, one run scored, and two stolen bases. Jaxson Easterlin (Oakland University) earned the win by throwing two perfect innings.

Battle Creek 14, Kalamazoo 2

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks exploded for a huge ten-run seventh inning to defeat the Growlers 14-2. Sam Griffith (Oakland University) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, recording three RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Gianni Royer (Holy Cross) went 3-for-4, scoring three times with one RBI and three stolen bases. Joshua Algarin (Walsh University) went 3-for-5 with a double, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Austin Wolfe (Bushnell University) earned the win by throwing six innings, striking out five, allowing two hits, and giving up one earned run. 

Eau Claire 11, Rochester 5

The Eau Claire Express cruised to an 11-5 victory over the Rochester Honkers. JJ Moran (Stanford University) went 2-for-6 with a three-run home run and an RBI double, recording five RBIs and two runs scored. Dante Vachini (Cal Poly University) went 3-for-5, scoring three times with two RBIs. Vidal Colon (University of Illinois-Chicago) went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Kennedy Hara (Colorado Mesa University) went 3-for-4 with a double, driving in one run and scoring twice. Luke Ryverse (University of Minnesota) earned the win, throwing four innings with one strikeout, allowing five hits, two runs, and one walk.

Green Bay 7, Wisconsin Rapids 1

The Green Bay Rockers dominated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7-1. Eli Selga (Golden West CC) went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, recording three RBIs. Stefan Di Corrado (Dartmouth College) went 1-for-4, scoring twice with one RBI. Steve Marhefke (Upper Iowa University) earned the win, throwing five innings with four strikeouts, allowing four hits, three walks, and one run.

Bismarck 4, Duluth 3

The Bismarck Larks edged out the Duluth Huskies 4-3 in a close contest. Dasan Harris (University of Oklahoma) went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and scored three times. Ethan Surowiec (University of Florida) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double, tallying one RBI and two runs scored. Tyson Greenwood (Purdue University Fort Wayne) earned the win, throwing four innings with one strikeout, allowing four hits, two walks, and one run. Landon Waters (University of Mississippi) got the save, throwing two innings, striking out five of nine batters faced, allowing two hits and one run.

La Crosse 8, Thunder Bay 6

The La Crosse Loggers rallied past the Thunder Bay Border Cats 8-6, overcoming an early deficit. Eli Small (Florida Atlantic University) had a day at the plate going 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, driving in six runs, and scoring twice. Eddie Peters (Xavier University) went 1-for-2, scoring twice with two RBIs. Tyrus Hall (West Virginia University) went 2-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Jake Jakubowski (University of Illinois-Chicago) earned the win, throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts, allowing one hit. Jace Miner (Wichita State University) got the save, throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing one hit.

Minot 12, Mankato 1

The Minot Hot Tots dominated the Mankato MoonDogs 12-1, erupting for 10 runs over the final four frames. Rowan Felsch (UC Irvine) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, recording four RBIs and two runs scored. Robbie Demetree (University of Central Florida) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Justin Rumfield (University of Incarnate Word) went 3-for-5 with a double, tallying two RBIs and two runs scored. Trent Harris (Missouri Southern State University) earned the win, throwing 5.2 innings with five strikeouts, allowing five walks, three hits, and one run.

Badlands 12, Willmar 3

The Badlands Big Sticks overpowered the Willmar Stingers 12-3, riding a 14-hit offensive outburst. Bo Shinkle (Gonzaga University) went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, recording two RBIs, three runs scored, and one stolen base. Ryker Schow (Brigham Young University) went 2-for-3, scoring three times with two RBIs and one stolen base. Maddox McDonald (Trinity University (TX)) went 2-for-5 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring once. Cody Nitowitz (University of Portland) went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run. Kobe Krenz (Metro State University of Denver) earned the win, throwing four innings with four strikeouts, allowing seven walks, three hits, and three runs.

St. Cloud 6, Waterloo 1

JJ Holis (University of California) earned the win, throwing five innings with four strikeouts, allowing five walks and two hits. Ryan Beaird (Tarleton State University) got the save, throwing two scoreless no-hit innings with two strikeouts, allowing one walk.
