The Kalamazoo Growlers erupted for 27 runs on 21 hits in a dominant 27-9 win over the Rockford Rivets. Antonio Perrotta (University of Virginia) was an RBI machine going 3-for-5 including a three-run home run, recording eight RBIs on the night and scoring three times. Trevor Johnson (Duke University) also had a standout performance at the plate going 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an RBI triple, and a double, tallying four RBIs and four runs scored. Noah Coy (University of Notre Dame) went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in five runs and scoring once. Cole Garner (Chipola CC) went 2-for-4 scoring four times with two RBIs. Connor Cunningham (Murray State University) went 4-for-5 with a double, collecting two RBIs and two runs scored. Brendan Garza (Ball State University) earned the win throwing five innings with three strikeouts allowing six hits, two runs, and two walks.
Fond du Lac 12, Madison 4
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders cruised to a 12-4 win over the Madison Mallards, jumping out to an early lead with five runs in the first two innings. Devin Nunez (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Rex Watson (University of San Diego) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with one RBI. The Traverse City Pit Spitters outlasted the Royal Oak Leprechauns 11-9 in a back-and-forth battle. Aaron Piasecki (Central Michigan University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with two RBIs and one stolen base. Cole Prout (Central Michigan University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scoring once and stealing one base. Aidan Schuck (Oakland University) went 2-for-2 scoring twice with two RBIs.
