Great Plains 3, Great Lakes 2

The Great Plains All-Stars came out on top in a close 3-2 victory over the Great Lakes All-Stars. Michael Smith (Dayton) came in clutch, going 1-for-2 with the go-ahead solo home run in the top of the ninth. Ethan Surowiec (University of Florida) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run. Austin Haley (Kansas State University) went 1-for-4, scoring once and stealing two bases. Max Soliz (University of Kansas) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run. Noah Ruiz (Northwestern) went 1-for-2, driving in one run and stealing one base. Parker Thomas (Wright State University) earned the win, throwing 0.2 of an inning, striking out one of three batters faced, and giving up one hit. Brandon Jaenke (Viterbo University) got the save, throwing one scoreless inning, striking out two of five batters faced, and giving up two hits.
