TP Wentworth (Clemson University) went 2-for-5, scoring once with one RBI. JP Peltier (Wright State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Garrett Workman (Florida A&M University) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, allowing four hits and one walk.
Wausau 10, Lakeshore 1
The Wausau Woodchucks erupted for nine runs in the third inning and never looked back, cruising to a 10-1 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. Zach Knowlton (Central Michigan University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Brody Sexton (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-3 with a double, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Cade Baldridge (University of Kansas) went 1-for-3 with a double, tallying one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base. Noah Malone (Loyola Marymount University) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Zach Wyatt (University of Montevallo) earned the win, throwing six innings with four strikeouts, allowing four walks, four hits, and one run.
Minot 8, Willmar 3
The Minot Hot Tots exploded for five runs in the second inning and added insurance late to take down the Willmar Stingers 8-3. Anthony Temesvary (Columbia University) had a day at the plate going 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, driving in six runs. Ryan Castro (UC Irvine) went 2-for-4, scoring twice and recording two RBIs. Armani Guzman (West Virginia University) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cade Dickinson (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) earned the win, throwing four innings with one strikeout, allowing four walks, two runs, and one hit. Kevin Rahe (University of Wisconsin-Superior) got the save, throwing three scoreless no-hit innings with three strikeouts, allowing two walks.
Mankato 11, St. Cloud 3
The Mankato MoonDogs came out swinging with a five-run first inning and never let up, powering past the St. Cloud Rox 11-3. Corey Nunez (UC Santa Barbara) went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in four runs and scoring twice. Tony Lira (University of Arizona) went 3-for-4 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Sean Griggs (University of Alabama) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Caleb Koskie (Indiana University) earned the win, throwing five innings with four strikeouts, allowing six walks, four hits, and two runs.
Kalamazoo 4, Kenosha 1
The Kalamazoo Growlers strung together timely runs and held strong on the mound to take down the Kenosha Kingfish 4-1. Gabe Springer (Stanford University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. The Madison Mallards dominated from start to finish, shutting out the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 5-0. MJ Sweeney (Wichita State University) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. The Rockford Rivets struck early and never looked back, using a fast start and timely offense to take down the Royal Oak Leprechauns 8-4. The Duluth Huskies held off a late push from the La Crosse Loggers to come away with an 8-6 win.
