Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The Kenosha Kingfish walked it off in the 11th inning to defeat the Rockford Rivets 6-5 in an extra-innings thriller.

Wausau 21, Fond du Lac 11

The Wausau Woodchucks dominated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in a high-scoring match-up, winning 21-11. Max Soliz (University of Kansas) stays red hot, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run, recording four RBIs, and three runs scored. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) went 4-for-4 with a double, driving in five runs and scoring once. Cael Boever (Grand Canyon University) went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run. Zach Knowlton (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-6 with a solo home run. Dylan Schlotterback (Paris JC) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and scored twice. Noah Malone (Loyola Marymount University) went 3-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. James Hankerson Jr. (Florida State University) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double, tallying two RBIs and scoring three times. Grant Parson (Indiana State University) earned the win, throwing six innings with five strikeouts, allowing five hits, three walks, and two runs.

Badlands 15, Minot 10

The Badlands Big Sticks powered their way to a 15-10 victory over the Minot Hot Tots. Gavyn Schlotterback (University of Kansas) was an RBI machine going 3-for-5 with a triple and a double, recording five RBIs and scoring three times. Bo Shinkle (Gonzaga University) went 3-for-4 with a triple, driving in three runs, scoirng once, and stealing one base. Blake Cavill (Troy University) went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and a double, tallying five RBIs and scoring twice. Jonah Shields (Jacksonville University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs. Max Ortega (Cal State Fullerton) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Kobe Krenz (Metro State University of Denver) earned the win throwing five innings with three strikeouts allowing eight hits, three walks, and three runs.

Royal Oak 13, Battle Creek 5

The Royal Oak Leprechauns rolled past the Battle Creek Battle Jacks with a convincing 13-5 win. Danny Cook (Pepperdine University) went 3-for-4 with a double, recording three RBIs, three stolen bases, and one run scored. Ryan Tyranski (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Sam Griffith (Oakland University) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and one stolen base. Brody Fahnestock (Oakland University) earned the win throwing six innings with seven strikeouts allowing three hits, three earned runs, and two walks. Jake Coulter (Hope College) got the save throwing three innings with one strikeout allowing three hits and one run.

Traverse City 3, Kalamazoo 2

The Traverse City Pit Spitters edged out the Kalamazoo Growlers 3-2 in a tight, low-scoring contest. Cade Collins (Wofford College) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Adam Broski (Michigan State University) went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Jayce Lee (University of Notre Dame) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Nic Mirabella (Maryville College (TN)) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts allowing three hits and one walk. Elliot Traver (University of Northwestern Ohio) got the save throwing one perfect inning striking out one of three batters faced.

Eau Claire 4, La Crosse 3

The Eau Claire Express secured a dramatic 4-3 walk-off victory over the La Crosse Loggers. JJ Moran (Stanford University) came in clutch driving in the winning run going 2-for-4 on the night. Nick Mascaro (Cal State Bakersfield) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with one stolen base. Jackson Glueck (Pima CC) went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in one run. Justin Roulston (Long Beach State) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Dawson Hargrove (Arkansas State University) set the tone with a dominating opening throwing six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts allowing two hits. Kenneth Fistler (Alma College) earned the win throwing 0.2 scorless with two strikeouts allowing one hit and one walk.

Waterloo 5, Duluth 2

The Waterloo Buck pulled away for a 5-2 win over the Duluth Huskies using a four-run sixth inning. Owen Ross (USC Upstate) went 2-for-4 with a triple, driving in three runs, and scoring once. Michael Barham (Murray State CC) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Ethan Surowiec (University of Florida) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording one RBI. Jake Downing (Cal Poly University) went 2-for-4 with a triple, tallying one run scored and one stolen base. Camden Lyke (St. Cloud State University) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings with one strikeout allowing two hits, two walks, and one run. Tyler Glowacki (Upper Iowa University) got the save throwing one scoreless no-hit inning with one strikeout allowing one walk.

Mankato 4, Bismarck 2

The Mankato MoonDogs edged out the Bismarck Larks 4-2 in a tight contest. Brandon Vicko (Minnesota State University) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Tony Lira (University of Arizona) went 1-for-1 with a double, driving in one run and scoring once. Ryar Rinehart (Kalamazoo College) went 3-for-4 with a double. Evan Hughes (York College (PA)) earned the win throwing five innings with seven strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and one walk. Landon Dodge (Sacramento City CC) got the save throwing two scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one hit.

Willmar 11, St. Cloud 0

The Willmar Stingers shut out the St. Cloud Rox in an 11-0 blowout. Liam Bushey (Western Illinois University) went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring once. Cody Nitowitz (University of Portland) went 2-for-3 with a double, tallying one RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Armani Guzman (West Virginia University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Stade (Minnesota State University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing six walks and five hits.

Thunder Bay 3, Rochester 2

The Thunder Bay Border Cats came back in the ninth with a two-run inning to top the Rochester Honkers 3-2. Trey Fikes (University of Nebraska) came up big driving in both runs, going 1-for-5 on the night. Junior Lopez (Ottawa University (KS)) went 2-for-3 with a double. Josh Outlaw (Illinois State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once and driving in one run. Josh McDonald (Florida Southeastern University) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings with two strikeouts allowing two hits, one walk, and zero earned runs.

Green Bay 6, Wisconsin Rapids 0

The Green Bay Rcokers shut out the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-0. Max Humphrey (Kent State University) went 1-for-5 with three RBIs. David Ballenilla (Central Arizona College) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. David Mysza (UCLA) went 2-for-2 with one RBI and one stolen base. Gavin Brummund (West Texas A&M University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing four walks and three hits. Evan Miranda (San Diego State University) got the save throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing three hits and one walk.

Kenosha 6, Rockford 5

Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 1-for-4 with a double, recording one RBI and one run scored. Harrison Bowman (Troy University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs and one run scored. Kyle Alivo (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing two innings with two strikeouts.

Lakeshore 7, Madison 2

The Lakeshore Chinooks took control early and never looked back in a 7-2 win over the Madison Mallards. Jack Counsell (Northwestern University) went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and one stolen bases. Sam Meidenbauer (UW-Platteville) went 2-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Dominic Monaco (Western Kentucky) earned the win throwing four innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits, one run, and one walk.
