The Mankato Habaneros struck early and made it stick, defeating the La Crosse Steam in a 1-0 shutout. Alexis Michon (Trine University) came in clutch, driving in the only run for the Habaneros. Skylinn Pogue (Ball State University) went 1-for-2 with a double. Finley Anderson (Minnesota State University) went 1-for-2 with a triple and scored once. Calli Janik went 2-for-3 with a double. Alexis Michon (Trine University) earned the win, throwing seven scoreless innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits.
