Madison 10, Minot 2

The Madison Night Mares opened the championship series with a dominant 10-2 win over the Minot Honeybees. Ava Carroll (University of Washington) went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in two runs and scoring twice. Danielle Lucey (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-4, scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Trinity Kennemer (MSU Denver) went 1-for-2, scoring twice with two RBIs. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 2-for-4, scoring once with one RBI. Bella Cimino (University of North Florida) went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run. Karlie McKenzie (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win, throwing seven innings with one strikeout, allowing six hits, three walks, and two runs.
