
The Northwoods League postseason heated up as the Green Bay Rockers clinched the Great Lakes title with a 10-5 win over the Traverse City Pit Spitters, fueled by a six-run seventh inning. Over in the Great Plains West, the Mankato MoonDogs powered past the St. Cloud 10-4 to secure their division crown and will face off against Duluth for the Great Plains Title.
Green Bay 10, Traverse City 5
The Green Bay Rockers dominantly captured the Great Lakes Championship, defeating the Traverse City Pit Spitters 10-5. Eli Selga (Golden West CC) went 4-for-6 with a double, driving in two runs and scoring once. Joe Mennella (Wagner College) went 1-for-6 with a double, recording two RBIs, one run scored, and one stolen base. Max Humphrey (Kent State University) went 3-for-4 with a double, tallying one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base. Grady Mee (Kent State University) went 4-for-5, scoring twice and collecting two stolen bases. Bryce Leonard (Northwestern State University) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with five strikeouts, allowing four hits and three walks.
Mankato 10, St. Cloud 4
The Mankato MoonDogs clinched the Great Plains West Championship with a 10-4 victory over the St. Cloud Rox. Adrian Beltre Jr. (University of San Diego) had a day at the plate going 4-for-6 with a pair of doubles, driving in three runs, and scoring once. Caleb Koskie (Indiana University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and scored three times. Tony Lira (University of Arizona) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Joshua Dykhoff (University of Kansas) went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, driving in three runs, scoring twice, and stealing one base. Sam Stockman (University of Utah) earned the win, throwing six innings with five strikeouts, allowing four hits, three runs, and three walks. Landon Dodge (Sacramento City CC) shut the door, throwing one scoreless inning, striking out three of four batters faced, and giving up one hit.
