A key two-run sixth inning proved to be the difference, while the pitching staff held strong late to secure the home victory. Danielle Lucey (University of Wisconsin) came through with the go-ahead two-run home run, finishing 1-for-3 at the plate. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 2-for-2, including a double, driving in one run and scoring once. For Minot, Bridget Chapman (University of Delaware) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Jill Halas (New College of Florida) went 2-for-3 at the plate. Ryan Maddox (University of Washington) earned the complete-game win, tossing seven innings with 11 strikeouts while allowing four hits, two runs, and one walk.

The Habaneros came out swinging and never looked back, erupting for a dominant 16–3 win over the Steam. Olivia Pichardo (University of California) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored. Ava Parent (University of Wisconsin) went 3-for-3, including a triple, recording two runs scored and one RBI. Melanie Spivey (Minnesota State Moorhead) was also perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run scored.
