Wausau 2, Madison 1

The Ignite knocked off the league-leading Night Mares 2–1, handing the top team a rare defeat. Wausau used strong pitching and timely offense as No. 1 went down in a tightly contested victory. Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, while Claire Calmes (University of Wisconsin) also went 1-for-3 with a solo homer. For Madison, Kyra Smith (Colorado State University) went 1-for-2, driving in the Night Mares’ lone run. Zoey Mills (East Florida State CC) earned the win, throwing a complete-game seven innings while allowing four hits, five walks, and one run while striking out one.
