Madison 8, Grand Forks 6

Madison used a balanced offensive attack to defeat Grand Forks 8–6. The Night Mares scored in three different innings, highlighted by a three-run sixth, and held off a late Spitfires rally to earn the victory. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a double while scoring twice. Ava Carroll (University of Washington) went 2-for-5, including a double, scoring three times and driving in one run. Trinity Kennemer (Metro State University of Denver) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3, including a double, recording two RBI. For Grand Forks, Shannon Cunningham (San Diego State University) went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, driving in three runs. Ally Hetzel (University of Washington) went 3-for-4, including a solo home run, and scored twice. Braylen Conlon (University of Iowa) earned the win, throwing three innings with five strikeouts while allowing two hits, two runs, and one walk.
