Grand Forks 8, Madison 7

Grand Forks held off a late Madison rally to defeat the Night Mares 8–7. The Spitfires jumped out to an early lead with a six-run first inning and held on as Madison mounted a late comeback attempt. Shannon Cunningham (San Diego State University) went 2-for-3, including a two-run home run. Sofia Meer (University of Pittsburgh) went 3-for-4, including a pair of doubles, recording two RBI and two runs scored. Brooklyn Hofer (University of North Dakota) went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in two runs. For Madison, Addie Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-2 with a double, driving in two runs. Luciana Moreno (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, tallying one RBI. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 3-for-4, including a pair of doubles, recording two RBI and one run scored. Sadie Kahl (University of Northern Colorado) earned the win, throwing one perfect inning to close out the game.
