The Night Mares wasted no time taking control, scoring seven runs over the first two innings before adding five more in the fourth to defeat the Habaneros 12–1 in a five-inning run-rule victory. The offense collected 12 hits while the pitching staff limited the Habaneros to just three hits, securing a dominant all-around performance. Trinity Kennemer (Metro State University of Denver) went 1-for-2 with a home run, recording three RBI and two runs scored. Luciana Moreno (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Emma Kavanagh (Virginia Tech) went 2-for-2 including a double, driving in two runs and scoring once. Tia Durst (University of Washington) went 3-for-3, scoring three times. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Addie Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-1 with one RBI and one run scored. Brooke Mannon (Indiana University) earned the win, throwing five innings with eight strikeouts, allowing three hits, one run, and one walk.
