MANKATO, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs, members of the Northwoods League, are thrilled to announce that Field Manager Mike Orchard will be returning to Mankato for the summer of 2014.

La Crosse, Wis. – The La Crosse Loggers baseball club kicked of their 2014 roster signings today with the announcement of a trio of returning position players in catcher Austin Rei (Washington), outfielder Mike Nadratowski (Grand Valley State) and infielder Nick Kanavas (Arizona).

(ROCHESTER, MN) – Ownership of the Green Bay Bullfrogs has been transferred to the Northwoods League, NWL President Dick Radatz, Jr., announced. The league purchased the affiliate from Titletown Baseball Group, LLC, which had owned the team since its inception in 2007.

WILLMAR, MN - The Willmar Stingers announced that six members from the 2013 team will be back as they open their fifth season of Northwoods League action in late May. These are the first players to sign for next year in preparation for the 2014 season at Bill Taunton Stadium.

Kenosha, WI – October 16, 2013. At the Ceremonial First Seat Installation at Simmons Field today, Kenosha Baseball announced that they will host a free, public event being called the Kenosha Baseball Launch Party on Saturday, November 23rd starting at 1 p.m. at Historic Simmons Field.

St. Cloud, MN-The St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club has announced that Kelly McCall has been promoted to Director of Marketing & Promotions. McCall served as the Rox Promotional Coordinator during the 2013 season.

LA CROSSE, WIS. – The La Crosse Loggers baseball club announced that pitching coach Mike Siwiec, third base coach Brian Lewis and first base coach Juan Calderon will be returning for the 2014 season and reuniting with field manger Jason Nell in the Logger dugout.

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- Thursday, October 10th, 2013. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced that four players from the 2013 team will be returning to Wisconsin Rapids next summer. Outfielder Taylor Stell (Texas), right-handed pitcher John Kravetz (Illinois), catcher/infielder Michael Jurgella (St. Cloud State), and right-handed pitcher Brandon Schmidt (Central Arkansas) have signed contracts to return in 2014.

WILLMAR, MN - The Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League announced today that Matt Hollod will return for his fifth season as the team’s field manager for the 2014 season. Hollod managed the Stingers to a team record-tying 41-29 record in 2013, with 23 wins coming in the first half of the season, narrowly missing out on a second straight playoff berth.

Rochester, MN – Seventeen former Northwoods League players will be competing over the next two months in Arizona against the top players in Minor League baseball. Six former Northwoods League players that played in the league last season made their Major League debuts in 2013.
