The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have hired a new manager for 2012. Actually, he is a very familiar face to the organization. The team announced today that it has named Jake Martin as the third manager in Rafters history.
The La Crosse Loggers have retained a pair of arms from their 2011 club as the tenth-year franchise announced the signings of pitchers Zach Wright (Washington) and Jordan Haseltine (San Francisco) today to their 2012 roster. Wright and Haseltine join returnee Bobby Juan (Minnesota) and catcher Tyler Servais (Princeton) on the list of Logger signees to-date.
The Madison Mallards are pleased to announce the hiring of Keith Ritsche as their pitching coach for the 2012 season. Ritsche comes from Winston-Salem State University where he is in his second year as the pitching coach for the Rams.

The Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League announced today that pitching coach Tyler Shepple will return for his third season with the club. This week the Stingers also announced four additional players to the 2012 team, which now brings the roster to 16 players committed for the upcoming season.
Fans of the Northwoods League have been treated to seeing some of the top talent play middle infield over the past two seasons for the Willmar Stingers. This coming year the organization hopes its latest players who signed this week will follow in same footsteps as former Stingers standouts such as; Jason Leblebijian, Rob Elliot, Carter Bell and Carlos Leyva.

The Northwoods League has announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2012 regular season, the League’s 19th season of play. For the third consecutive year the Northwoods League will use a 70-game divisional schedule. All teams will play the other seven teams from their division a total of ten times throughout the season.
The Northwoods League will be unveiling the 2012 season schedule later today. The regular season campaign will begin on Wednesday, May 30th. But for the first time since 2004 a team in Brainerd, Minnesota won’t be part of the Northwoods League.
