The Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League announced today the signing of Dan Welch of North Saanich, British Columbia. Welch is a catcher/infielder at Central Arizona College in Coolidge, AZ. The 6'2, 195 pound sophomore has played in 35 games this season and is batting .356 with 18 runs batted in.
