The Duluth Huskies welcome the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders to the Northwoods League. The Dock Spiders will be part of the South Divison of the league. Ryan Moede is the general manger for the new team as they head into the 2017 season. Along with Moede will be field manager Zac Charbonneau. The process of finding a name for the new team started with over 800 names submitted from the Fond du Lac area. The list was narrowed to five finalists for a fan vote with Dock Spiders beating out Barn Owls, Lake Flies, Pipsqueaks, and Shantymen. The Northwoods League is now up to 20 teams with 10 in each division. The Huskies are excited for the expansion the league is experiencing for the 2017 season.
