            The Duluth Huskies (13-10) defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats (8-16) with a crowd full of Wisconsinites for Superior Day to honor legendary Coach Orlandi.

            The Huskies got off to a hot start in the bottom of the first with Camryn Williams scoring. Then in the third Williams scored again after a double from Matt Fraizer. The Border Cats were able to tie it up at 2 in the bottom of the fourth on a wild pitch and a double. During the fifth, sixth, and seventh the Huskies really started to pull away scoring nine throughout the three innings. The Border Cats were unable to recover giving the Huskies W.

            Luke Roskam went 3 for 4 including one double putting his total at 6 for the season. Jake Pries had also had two doubles during the night as well. Ryan Cunningham started for the Huskies and threw 5.0 innings allowing only 5 hits with 3 strikeouts. Joe Gonrowski receives the win tonight after pitching .1 innings and allowing only one hit. Connor Centala receives the loss for the Border Cats after tossing 1.0 inning allowing 2 hits.

            Friday Night (6/23) is the Huskie Hankie Giveaway sponsored by City Auto Glass. The gates open at 5:35 with the first pitch set for 6:35. Come on down to Wade Stadium to support the Huskies as they take on the Waterloo Bucks.
