The Huskies first inning scoring was just not enough to keep the first-place St. Cloud Rox under control. Kyle Hubbuch started things off for the Huskies with an RBI single to score Cameron Williams from third base to lead the Huskies to a 2-0 early lead.

That early scoring was it for the home town team, Rox pitcher Ryan Shreve was the key to that. The California native threw 5 innings only allowing 2 runs and adding a pair of strikeouts. A mix between solid Rox bullpen and timely hitting for the Huskies resulted in the 6-3 loss.

Huskies however saw some promising potential out of newcomers, Ricky Mitchell (Morningside College) and Rob Emery (San Francisco). Mitchell threw three scoreless innings and Emery had a late double in his Huskies debut.

Next up for the Huskies they continue the five-game homestead against the Rox for two more games and then welcome the Larks out of Bismarck for a pair of home games.
