Huskies played their final regular season game against the St. Cloud Rox Sunday afternoon. It started with a pitching duel between Huskies, Ian Casssidy (Western Missouri) and St. Cloud’s Robbie Palkert (Nebraska). Both going three scoreless innings, it wasn’t till the end of the fourth inning for both teams bats to get going. The Rox started the parade with a two-run homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning. Shortly after that the Huskies responded, Back to Back homeruns from Luke Roskam (Nebraska) and Jordan Hovey (Jefferson CC) tied the game through five innings of play.

The Parade continued in the bottom of the fifth and the Rox responded one again with a homerun from shortstop, Cameron Eden (UC, Berkeley). The 3-2 hometown lead remained for three more innings until  the Huskies, Auggie Isaacon tied the game with an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning. However, the Rox were not out of it. With the help of a two-run homerun from Brenden Illies (North Carolina) the Rox took a 6-3 lead in bottom of the eighth inning and that was it for the ballgame.

On the road again, following the Sunday afternoon game the Huskies will head south to Rochester to take on the Honkers. They will play two game at Mayo Field both nights starting at 7:05.
