Mequon, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks have announced their 2015 promotional schedule. After a 2014 championship season, the Chinooks begin their pursuit to become back-to-back Northwoods League champions. Lakeshore has a number of new and exciting promotions for the 2015 season along with some returning favorites from past years.
Opening Week
The Chinooks will begin their 2015 campaign on Thursday, May 28th. Prior to the game will be a presentation and unveiling of their 2014 championship banner. Fans will also receive a Chinooks Championship Pennant (first 1,000 fans) presented by Port Washington State Bank and a 2015 magnet schedule presented by Professional Supply. Two nights later on May 30th will be Gill Championship Bobblehead Night (first 1,000 fans) presented by GS Design. The next night, May 31st, will be a Championship T-shirt giveaway (first 500 fans ages 13 and older) presented by Mequon Pizza Company.
Bobbleheads
2015 will feature the most bobblehead giveaways in a Chinooks season with 6 bobbleheads on tap for the summer. In addition to the Gill Championship Bobblehead, the Chinooks will be continuing their outfield wall series on June 20th with a Paul Molitor Bobblehead (first 1,000 fans) presented by Robert Haack Diamonds. The 2014 Northwoods League Manager of the Year will also get his very own bobble on July 10th with Eddy Morgan Bobblehead Night (first 1,000 fans) presented by SKYGEN USA. For the first time ever, their very own Minnows will also be getting their own mini bobbleheads. On June 14th, it will be Fry the Red Minnow Mini Bobblehead (first 1,000), followed by Wanda the Purple Minnow Mini Bobblehead on July 19th (first 1,000 fans), and rounding out the lineup, Ruffy the Orange Minnow Mini Bobblehead on July 26th. All three of the Minnow bobbleheads will be sponsored by Techteriors.
Giveaways
There will be plenty of giveaways at Kapco Park including 5 championship themed items. In addition to the championship pennant and championship t-shirt giveaways, the Chinooks will be handing out a 2014 Championship Replica Ring (first 1,000 fans ages 13 and older) on June 5th presented by Kapco Metal Stamping. The next night, June 6th, they will be giving away a Championship Pint Glass (first 1,000 fans ages 21 and older) presented by Juice’s Ghost Town. The last championship themed giveaway will be on June 15th, a Championship Commemorative Coin (first 750 fans) presented by Paragon Numismatics.
Other giveaways for 2015 include a Chinooks Pilsner Glass on June 19th (first 1,000 fans ages 21 and older) presented by MillerCoors, a Chinooks blanket on June 25th (first 750 fans) presented by Richmond Investments, a Chinooks Patriotic Hat on July 1st (first 750 fans) presented by Usinger’s Famous Sausage, and a Chinooks Wine Glass on July 9th (first 750 fans ages 21 and older) presented by Cedar Valley Cheese Store. For the first time ever, the Chinooks will be doing a Batting Helmet giveaway on July 29th (first 500 fans 13 and younger) presented by Thrivent Financial Associate Paul Neuberger.
A few fan favorite giveaways will also be returning this summer including a Team Trading Cards Set on July 14th (first 1,000 fans) presented by MSI General, Logo Baseball on July 15th (first 1,000 fans) presented by Kohler Credit Union, and Team Poster on August 3rd (first 1,000 fans) presented by Associated Bank.
Theme Nights & Appearances
Back by popular demanding, the Chinooks will be bringing back some of their popular theme nights as well as some new and exciting themed events at Kapco Park. On June 1st, the Chinooks will host their first ever Education Day featuring aweather lesson by Today’s TMJ4. The 4th annual Mel’s Pig Roast Night will be June 6th, and for the second year in a row, the Chinooks will host Green & Gold Night on June 7th featuring a special appearance by Frank Winters. Winters will be signing free autographs and taking photos with fans prior to the game.
New for 2015 will be College Night on June 8th and will include a ticket drawing for concert tickets to see Imagine Dragons at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The night and ticket drawing will be sponsored by BMO Harris Bradley Center. BMO Harris Bradley Center will also be sponsoring two more ticket drawings on June 22nd for the Mötley Crüe concert and on August 5th for The Who concert. June 22nd will also be 80’s Night and feature a tribute to the film trilogy Back to the Future. Fan Appreciation Night will be on August 5th.
Other theme nights include Gill’s Mascot Birthday Party on June 13th presented by Cedar Crest Ice Cream, Baseball’s Allure for Women on June 26th presented by Allure Salon & Spa, Kids & Seniors Day on June 30th presented by Newcastle Place, Military & Veteran’s Appreciation Night on July 1st presented by Usinger’s Famous Sausage, Bark in the Park Night on July 25th presented by Fromm Family Foods, and Chinooks Win, You Win on August 9th.
ZOOperstars! will be returning to Kapco Park on June 26th. Pro Wrestling Night will be on July 8th featuring a special appearance by pro wrestling hall of famer, Kevin Nash. Nash will be signing free autographs and taking photos with fans prior to the game. The entire Chinooks roster will be signing after the July 15th game for Team Autograph Night. For the second year in a row, Princess Night will be returning to Kapco Park on August 8th presented by Erik of Norway.
There will be three movie themed nights at the ballpark this summer: Jurassic Park Night on June 19th, Minions Night on July 10th featuring an appearance by everyone’s favorite yellow underlings, and the return of the 501st Legion Wisconsin Garrison for Star Wars Night on July 18th presented by Thrivent Financial Associate Jim Meyer. Following the July 18th game will be a Star Wars Lightsaber Duel.
