Ten members of the 2003 Madison Mallards will be playing in the NCAA College World Series with their current college teams. The NCAA Regionals will take place May 30th to June 1st.
Notre Dame earned an NCAA bid after winning the Big East Tournament Title for the second straight season. Catcher Javier Sanchez had eight hits in 11 at-bats on his way to Big East Tournament MVP honors. Sanchez and fellow Notre Dame teammates Joe Thaman and Tyler Jones will be playing for the Mallards this summer after the completion of their collegiate season.
