The Triple Play Partnership of National Specialty Insurance West Bend Mutual, United Way and the Madison Mallards are teaming to raise money for charity throughout the 2005 season. NSI will donate 500 dollars to the United Way for every Mallard home run hit at the Duck Pond this season over the course of the 34-game Mallard home schedule.
A total of 2,000 dollars was donated last year as the Mallards hit four home runs at the Duck Pond and 17 home runs over the course of the entire season. Designated hitter Jeff Bieker, the Mallards leader in home runs last season with six, returns to Madison this summer. Notre Dame?s Mike Dury who hit two home runs returns to the Mallards as well.
NSI is also a proud sponsor of NSI and West Bend Mutual Maynard Bobble Wing night Thursday, June 16 when the Mallards take on the St. Cloud River Bats.
