The third “Famous Footwear Mallards Player of the Week” for the 2006 season is shortstop Ryan Bond.

Every Sunday, a Mallards player is honored as the Player of the Week by Famous Footwear. Although the Mallards didn’t win a game this past week, Bond was one of the bright spots in the Mallards lineup.

Bond recorded five hits in 16 at bats for Madison during the week. He was four-for-nine in two games against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He also scored three runs and knocked in one during the past week. The Indiana State infielder has raised his batting average to .259 for the season.
