Following the 2006 Madison Mallards season, NSI, a division of West Bend Mutual Insurance, donated 3,025 dollars to the United Way of Dane County. NSI/ West Bend Mutual donated 25 dollars for every Mallards run scored at home and 50 dollars for every Mallards home run at the Duck Pond.

Additionally, the Mallards and NSI/ West Bend Mutual donated another 1,275 dollars raised from a silent auction during the Major League Baseball and Mallards Alumni game on August 4th. The Mallards and NSI presented a check at a ceremony in late August.
