With the New Year just around the corner & a mere 153 days until Mallards Opening Day 2007 (May 31st at 7:05 vs. Eau Claire) the Mallards are slowly starting to get into the swing of things. There are a couple of events taking place in the next few weeks that we would love to see you all at.

The first is the Warner Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Community Listening Session on Wednesday, January 3rd at 6:30 at the Warner Park Community Center. As some of you may already know, the City of Madison & the Mallards have been working on long term plans for renovations & improvements to the ?Duck Pond.? The listening session will be the first opportunity for the Madison community to provide feedback about the Mallards, the ?Duck Pond? & some of the improvements that could be made to the park in the future.

The next event is the Annual Dug-Out Club Baseball Banquet at the Concourse Hotel in Downtown Madison on Monday, January 15th starting at 5:30. Brewers GM Doug Melvin, former Brewers (Jim Gantner & more), Mallards GM Vern Stenman, & Manager CJ Thieleke will speak at the event. The Baseball Banquet is the primary fundraiser for the Dug-Out Club & all funds go directly to different area baseball teams. Tickets are available by calling Dick Anderson at (608) 233-6435, or call the Mallards office for more information.

Season & Group Tickets are on sale now. Be sure to stay tuned to Mallardsbaseball.com for more exciting news about the Mallards in 2007!
