The Madison Mallards teamed up with Madison Parks and the Madison Parks Foundation on Saturday May 19th to put on the Remarkable Rubber Ducky River Race at Tenney Park. Hundreds of fans came to the park to purchase their rubber ducks in hopes of winning a prize! All proceeds of the event benefitted the Madison Parks Department and the Goodman Pool Scholarship Fund.
The rubber ducks were dumped in the river with fans watching from the shore. The first ducks to reach the barricade across the river were the winners! The grand prize was a party for 20 at the “Duck Pond” in the new Home Plate Suites including the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, 20 great seats to the game and a $100 gift card.
The 2012 season is upon us! Single-game tickets are on-sale for all Mallards home games!
The Mallards will host their season opener against the Battle Creek Bombers on May 30th at 7:05 pm at the “Duck Pond.” 7-Game Packs, season, and group tickets are on sale now!
The Madison Mallards are part of the 16-team Northwoods League. The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate Baseball League in North America.
