Madison, Wis. The Madison Mallards will host their annual first pitch event on Saturday, April 5th at 4:00 pm at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.
At this event the Mallards will be announcing ballpark improvements at the “Duck Pond” for the 2014 season. A first look at the promotional schedule for the season will also be unveiled.
Speakers at the event will include Mallards Owner Steve Schmitt, President Vern Stenman, and General Manager Conor Caloia. A question and answer session about the Mallards will follow the announcement. Newly announced PA Announcer Rich Reynolds will emcee the event.
This family friendly event will include ballpark food and soda and will be open to the public, free of charge. Mallards Mascot Maynard G. Mallard will be in attendance as well as plenty of kids activities.
7-Game Packs can be purchased at the event as the Mallards sales staff will be on-hand to assist fans and answer questions.
The defending Summer Collegiate World Series Champion Mallards open the season at home on Tuesday, May 27th at 7:05 pm as they take on the expansion Kalamazoo Growlers. Mallards single game tickets will go on-sale on Saturday, April 26th at 9:00 am.
