Mallards Announce 2015 Promotional Schedule
Madison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards are excited to release their full promotional schedule for the 2015 season. The schedule is jam packed of amazing fireworks shows, unique bobblehead giveaways, hysterical entertainment acts, and a WWE Hall of Famer!

The Mallards start off their season with four home games in five days at the Duck Pond. Opening night is Tuesday, May 26. That night will feature a water bottle giveaway from St. Mary’s and an appearance by the acrobatic Chicago Boyz presented by Pepsi. Wednesday, May 27 there is a Magnet Schedule giveaway presented by Chet’s Car Care and Charter Communications. Fans will take home a Soccer Millie Bobblehead presented by Marshfield Clinic on Thursday, May 28. The Mallards wrap up the first week with a LSM Chiropractic Tumbler giveaway on Saturday, May 30. Budweiser Fireworks will follow the game.
Seven different bobbleheads will be featured in 2015 including Marshfield Clinic Soccer Millie (May 28), Dentistry for Madison: Dr. Jay Hazen Hippy vs Hipster Maynard, where you pick what you think represents Madison best (June 12), Pepsi Outdoorsman Maynard (June 19), Zimbrick Honda Firefighter Maynard (June 28), Motorcycle Maynard (July 9), Great Dane Mohawk Man bobble mohawk (July 24), and Charter Communications Chris Sale (August 4).
The Mallards will feature five different post-game fireworks shows that will dazzle and amaze all in attendance. These shows will take place on May 30, June 6, June 20, July 3, and July 11. The highlight of these shows will be on July 3 as part of the Northside Independence Day Celebration. After the Mallards game that night live music by the Kissers and the Madison Music Foundry will entertain all in attendance. The stadium will open up to the public 30 minutes after the completion of the game. The fireworks show will start at 9:45 pm, with the Duck Pond being the best place to watch the show.
WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper will be in attendance on June 27 as part of wrestling and Always Sunny in Philadelphia night presented by Pepsi. Fans can meet Piper and he will be available for autographs and pictures. Tommy "Repeat" Timmons, who was played by Shane Obedzinski will make an appearance on July 2 as part of Sandlot night presented by Charter Communications.
The friendly animal inflatables of the ZOOperstars will return to the Duck Pond three times this season on June 5, July 17, and August 7. The acrobats of the Chicago Boyz will fly through the air on May 26, and the wacky antics of BirdZerk! will wow fans on June 11. The Human Cannonball will once again fly across the infield on June 9 and the Pogo-Sticking group XPOGO will bounce away on July 23. Fans can also enjoy a petting zoo at the three Mallards Sunday games on June 21, June 28, and July 12.
The Mallards will host the 3rd Annual Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase on August 4. The event will feature the Top 100 Players in the NWL in a doubleheader at 4:05 pm and 7:35 pm. The players will be selected by Major League Baseball scouts and the Northwoods League.
The Mallards will host Wisconsin Cheese Curdfest on July 26 and Ducktoberfest on August 22. Curdfest, presented by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board will begin at 1:00 pm and will feature voting for the best cheese curds in Wisconsin, cheese curd eating contests, live music, a petting zoo, Mallards bingo, kids games and more. Ducktoberfest, the Mallards celebration of Oktoberfest includes German cuisine, wiener dog races, live polka bands, and games for all ages. The event starts at 2:00 pm. A $20 offering for fans will include a four ounce tasting mug, ten tastings of beer and one food entrée. Both Curdfest and Ducktoberfest have free entry and are open to the public.
The Mallards will host the second annual Wisconsin Brewing Company Beer Dinner on Friday, August 21 at 6:00 pm. Mallards Executive Chef Tristan Straub and WBC Brewmaster Kirby Nelson will pair a four course meal with amazing beer selections from WBC. Additional details, including how to purchase tickets will be announced at a later date.
The will host the Zimbrick Honda Movie Nights at the Duck Pond in 2015. These free movie showings will be played on the Zimbrick Honda Video Board, with fans able to sit on the outfield grass. Gates open for the events 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Movies, dates, and times are listed below.

The Mallards host their season opener on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:35 pm when they take on the Kalamazoo Growlers. Mallards single game tickets go on-sale on April 25 at 9:00 am. Tickets will be available by visiting MallardsBaseball.com or calling the Mallards ticket office at 608-246-4277.
The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
