website_ImageMadison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards and Festival Foods have announced details about the downtown Madison fireworks show, Festival Foods Shake the Lake.

Human Cannonball

David “The Bullet” Smith will, for the first time in his career, launch himself over 150’ through the air and land in the waters of Lake Monona prior to the start of the Festival Foods Fireworks.  Smith is the current Guinness World Record holder for the longest shot out of a cannon and has appeared 10 consecutive years at the Duck Pond.

iHeart Media Rooftop Party

Attendees can purchase tickets for $15 to attend the iHeart Media Rooftop Party on the Monona Terrace rooftop. These tickets will guarantee a spectacular spot to watch the fireworks. iHeart Media DJ’s will provide music entertainment on the rooftop throughout the event.

Madison Area Chef’s Network BBQ

The Madison Area Chef’s Network will be putting on a collaborative BBQ throughout the event. Attendees can purchase a BBQ platter featuring prepared by chefs from the following restaurants: Liliana’s, Graze, Layla’s, Gotham, Osteria Papavero, Smokin’ Cantina, Underground Butcher, A Pig in a Fur Coat, Forequarter, L’Etolle, Sujeo, and Nostrano.

Madison.com Stage

Two additional acts will be announced soon and there will be live music from 5:00 until 10:00 on the Madison.com Stage on the west side of the Monona Terrace.  7:15 pm, Shovels & Rope will take the stage. Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires will close the night, starting at 8:45 pm.

Festival Foods Fireworks Playlist

The Festival Foods Fireworks will start at 10:00 pm and be accompanied by a music playlist that can be listened to on all six iHeart Media radio stations (92.1 FM, 96.3 FM, 101.5 FM, 104.1 FM, 1070 AM, and 1310 AM. The playlist is 37 minutes long and will include a Star Wars theme.

Midwest Family Broadcasting Entertainment Area

In addition to Roller Derby and Bike Polo exhibitions already scheduled for the entertainment area on the east side of Monona Terrace, there will now be a unicycling exhibition by Madison Unicyclists.  132nd Army Band of the Wisconsin National Guard Patriot Jazz Band will be performing from 5:00 – 7:00 as well.

WKOW TV

WKOW TV will be exclusive TV partner for event and they will become the best destination for information regarding the event and other promotional opportunities. Stay tuned for more information.

Physicians Plus & Meriter Homerun Derby

On the east side of the event zone there will be a free interactive Homerun Derby game presented by Physicians Plus & Meriter.

Bike Valet Parking

Free bike valet parking will be available under the Monona Terrace throughout the event and bike riders can enter the space on the east side of the Monona Terrace.

Schoep’s Ice Cream Make Madison’s Ice Cream Contest

Starting soon area residents will be able to submit ideas for the flavor and name of their dream ice cream that best reflects Madison.  Schoep’s Ice Cream will select three ideas and they will be available for purchase at Festival Foods Shake the Lake.  The most popular ice cream at the event will be produced and available for purchase at Festival Foods new Madison location when it opens this fall.
