The Madison Mallards (15-16, 34-32) head north today to face the Green Bay Bullfrogs (10-19, 22-42) at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay. The Mallards are coming off a narrow defeat last night in Lakeshore and will look to right the ship as they head into the final week of the regular season.

After tallying 13 hits on Saturday night, the Mallards could only scrape across five last night. The offense will have to make an impact over the last week of the season for the Mallards to clinch a playoff berth. Currently, Madison trails Lakeshore by a game and a half for the final playoff spot.

Scheduled to take the mound for Madison is Louisville righty Matt McCarty. McCarty has pitched in eleven games this season and will be making his sixth start tonight. McCarty had a fantastic outing in his last start as he went six scoreless innings and allowed only three hits while walking one. Over his last 16.0 innings of work, McCarty has allowed only two runs and seven hits. McCarty will look to follow Matt Horkey’s (UNC-Charlotte) terrific start last night.
