The Madison Mallards (17-17, 36-33) take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks (9-25, 24-45) in Wausau tonight at 7:05 PM at Athletic Park. After a big 11-2 win last night, the Mallards are only one game back of the final playoff spot in the South Division. With three games remaining, another victory against Wisconsin tonight would be crucial to a playoff berth.

In last night’s game, the Mallards broke out with eleven hits and drew 13 walks. The Mallards scored in five separate innings and allowed the Woodchucks to cross in just one. Centerfielder Doran Turchin (Illinois) had a fantastic game as he was 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run, three runs scored, two walks, and two runs batted in. Turchin has been hot recently as he is batting .320 over his last eight games and has knocked in six runs.

Scheduled to start for the Mallards tonight is Texas A&M lefty Tristen Bayless. Bayless will be making his sixth start of the season and is coming off of a solid outing against Lakeshore when he went 4.1 innings and allowed only two runs on three hits.
