THE DUCK POND ? If winning was an illness, the Mallards would be on life support right now.

The Ducks had to come from behind once again, this time after trailing 5-2 in the fifth, but used a six-run inning to complete a season sweep of the Duluth Huskies, winning 10-5. For the Mallards, it was their seventh consecutive victory, setting a franchise record.

?We are playing with a lot of confidence right now,? said Mallards Manager Darrell Handelsman, ?and playing in front of these big crowds in Madison we really have a home field advantage.?

The Mallards are currently leading the Northwoods League in attendance by drawing more than 3,000 fans per game. The home field advantage that the fans give the team is evident in the fact that the Mallards are 4-0 at home.

?The fans are great. I?ve never seen anything like this place,? exclaimed Mallards outfielder Josh Wettlaufer, ?it really gets you pumped up to play in front of these crowds!?

The Mallards are expecting another big audience today as the 1:35 Father?s Day tilt with the Mankato Moon Dogs is a virtual sellout. It also marks the first home day game of the year and will be the first time that the Mallards have ever unveiled a ?Sunday? uniform.

Also, there are several big promotions in the works today at the Duck Pond including AAA Rally Towel Day. The first 1,000 fans 15 and over will get a Mallards Rally Towel. Plus, the first 1,000 kids 14 and under will get a Wisconsin Dells Kids Card which offers free admission to over 20 attractions in the Dells area.

So, come on out to the yard today as the Mallards look to win their eighth in-a-row.
