After the 10-6 win over the Wisconsin Woodchucks Thursday night in Madison, the Madison Mallards won the 2003 Northwoods League First Half Championship and subsequently clinched a playoff berth. Northwoods League playoffs begin August 10th and run through August 15th. The Mallards have a guaranteed additional home date on the 10th or 11th of August; the date will depend on home field advantage which will go to the team with the best over all record. With the playoff berth the Mallards will play a minimum of one playoff game and a maximum of four playoff games at the Duck Pond.
Playoff tickets will go on sale July 21st at 9 a.m. at the Mallards ticket office in Warner Park. Playoff ticket prices are $7 for reserved seating and $6 for general admission tickets. Playoff tickets will only be sold in four game packages. The pricing of these packages will either be $24 or $28. Those who purchase playoff ticket packages will be refunded for any of the games that do not occur at the Duck Pond.
Season ticket holders will receive a letter in the mail allowing them priority to purchase playoff tickets. Season ticket holders and corporate sponsors will have until July 19th to purchase playoff tickets.
