On Saturday, July 8, the Madison Mallards will welcome Wisconsin native and former big leaguer Andy Pafko to the Duck Pond.

Pafko spent 17 seasons in the Majors as a member of the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers and Milwaukee Braves. He was a five time all-star (1945, 47, 48, 49, 50) and appeared in four World Series, winning one in 1957 as a member of the Braves. In 1945, Pafko finished fourth in National League MVP voting. An outfielder by trade, Pafko was also often utilized at third base by Cubs Manager Charlie Grimm leading to his nickname ?Handy Andy.?

Pafko will be available for autographs before and during the game.

It will also be Interstate Battery Hat Night as the Mallards take on the Eau Claire Express. The first 1,000 fans 18 and over will receive a Mallards hat courtesy of Interstate Battery. The first 1,000 fans 14 and under will receive a glow in the dark baseball as part of Alliant Energy Glow in the Dark Baseball Night.
