The Madison Mallards are pleased to announce the addition of left-handed pitcher Chris Spangler to the team?s 30 man roster. The 5?11? Spangler has signed a full contract and will be in uniform tonight when the Mallards take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks in game two of a two game series.

Spangler, who attended nearby Sauk Prairie High School, just completed his junior season at UW-Whitewater in the spring where he posted a 6-4 record and 4.74 ERA. In 62.2 innings pitched, he struck out 33 while walking 15. He also picked up one of the Warhawks four saves. Spangler will wear number 30 tonight with the Mallards.

To make room for Spangler the Mallards have deactivated outfielder Spencer Steedley due to injury and waived left-handed pitcher Marc Lewis.

Tonight, the Mallards take on the Woodchucks in game two of a two-game series. It will be PDQ & Quench Trading Card Night #3, presented by WB57. It will also be Ashley Furniture HomeStore Giveaway Night with great prizes from the Ashley Furniture HomeStore awarded throughout the game.
