Madison, WI – May 29, 2008. It’s official; your Madison Mallards are back in town & open play tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the “Duck Pond” against the La Crosse Loggers. Among the activities planned include: unveiling of the One Millionth Fan statue; the grand opening of Maynard’s burger joint; the debut of the Amp Energy Vision Video Board; & more! One Millionth Fan Statue: A special ceremony will begin once gates open at 5:30 p.m. to commemorate lucky fan John Olsen’s entrance into the “Duck Pond” on August 9, 2007 that made him the franchise’s One Millionth fan!

Maynard’s Slide In: Located behind the first-base grandstand, Maynard’s will feature 100% locally produced & prepared food items including fresh, never frozen, burger from Stoddard’s Meat Market. Among the delicious items on the menu include: beer battered cheese curds & onion rings, grilled cheese sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, Schoep’s Ice Cream, & much, much more!

Amp Energy Vision Video Board: For the first time fans will be able to check out instant replays of game action, Mallards biographies, live video of between-innings promotions, & special features including the debut of the Dr. Jay Hazen Dentistry Kiss Cam!
