PromoSchedule2Madison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards are excited to release their full promotional schedule for the 2016 season.  The schedule is jam packed of amazing fireworks shows, unique bobblehead giveaways, hysterical entertainment acts, and a former WWE Hall of Famer!

Opening Week

The Mallards Opening Night is Friday, June 3.  That night will feature post-game fireworks presented by Budweiser along with a Dean & St. Mary’s baseball hot/cold pack giveaway.  The following week, the Mallards will host five home games in six days. Monday, June 6 will be Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Dairy Night with dairy themed promotions as well as a Magnet Schedule giveaway presented by Chet’s Car Care.  Tuesday, June 7 is Summerween, featuring post-game trick-or-treating on the field.  Chris Clark, a professional stunt rider, presented by Schwinn, will also be out that night.

Bobbleheads

Eight different bobblehead dates will be featured in 2016 including Dentistry for Madison: Dr. Jay Hazen Chris Farley Bobblehead (June 10), Zimbrick Honda Madison State Capitol Maynard (June 16), Balking Dead Maynard (June 30), Pepsi Double Decker Pizza Bus Maynard (July 14), Festival Foods Dancing Rick Bobblehead (July 17), Democratic vs. Republican Maynard Bobblelection, where fans have their choice of either a Democrat or Republican Maynard Bobblehead (July 30), Shoe Box Big Dog Bobblehead (August 4), and The Great Dane Throwback Maynard Bobblehead (August 9).

Fireworks

The Mallards will feature six different post-game fireworks shows that will dazzle and amaze all in attendance.  These shows will take place on June 3, June 11, June 18, July 2, July 3, and July 22.  The highlight of these shows will be on July 2nd and 3rd as part of the Independence Day weekend.  At the conclusion of the Mallards game those nights, there will be post-game concerts followed by the biggest and best fireworks shows yet!

Celebrity Appearance

WWE Hall of Famer Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase will be in attendance on July 8 as part of wrestling night at the ballpark.  Fans can meet DiBiase and he will be available for autographs and pictures.

Entertainment Acts

The friendly animal inflatables of the ZOOperstars will return to the Duck Pond three times this season on June 24, July 9, and August 10.  Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey will herd the cattle on the field on June 17, the Human Cannonball will once again fly across the infield on June 23, and the wacky antics of Rally Entertainment will have you laughing your feathers off on August 5. Fans can also enjoy a petting zoo at the three Mallards Sunday games on July 3, July 17, and July 31.

Special Events

The Mallards will host the 4th Annual Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase on August 9.  The event will feature the Top 100 Players in the NWL in a doubleheader at 4:05 pm and 7:35 pm. The players will be selected by Major League Baseball scouts and the Northwoods League.

Movie Nights

The will host the Zimbrick Honda Movie Nights at the Duck Pond in 2016. These free movie showings will be played on the Zimbrick Honda Video Board, with fans able to sit on the outfield grass.  Gates open for the events 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time with food and beverage available for purchase.  Movies, dates, and times are listed below.

Sunday, July 10 @ 3:00 pm – Minions

Saturday, July 23 @ 5:00 pm – Kung Fu Panda 3

The Mallards will host their home opener on Friday, June 3rd when they take on the new Northwoods League affiliate Rockford Rivets.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.  Single-game tickets for the 2016 season will go on sale at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 30th.
