BROCKSTEWARTAfter starting the season in AA Tulsa in the Dodgers organization, former Mallard Brock Stewart (Illinois State) made his MLB debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers, striking out seven in his five innings of work. Stewart was a member of the 2013 Mallards that won the Summer Collegiate World Series Championship, appearing in 30 games as a position player that year. Stewart hit .298 with 11 RBIs and 19 runs scored in 104 at-bats for Madison.

A sixth-round pick of the Dodgers in the 2014 MLB Draft, Stewart surged through the minors, as he has pitched in three different levels in 2016 alone. Stewart went 8-3 with a 1.47 ERA in AA and 3-0 with a 2.89 ERA in three starts for AAA Oklahoma City. Stewart struck out 27 batters in 18.2 innings of work in AAA.

The Mallards will face the Lakeshore Chinooks tonight at 7:05 pm at the Duck Pond. The game will feature a Balking Dead Maynard Bobblehead giveaway. There will also be a Schwinn Family of Bikes (4) giveaway. UW-Health Sports Medicine will hold a clinic developing swing fundamentals & power baseball clinic from 9 am to 12 pm. The clinic is $40 for ages 8-16.
