FARMERS UNION INSURANCE FOOD DRIVE DELIVERS AGAIN

Despite rain, unseasonably cold temperatures and a 7:00 am wake-up call, members of the Minot community made their actions seen, supporting the Lord’s Cupboard with canned and packaged food items as part of the Farmers Union Insurance Food Drive. Held at Corbett Field, the home of the Minot Hot Tots and Honeybees, the event produced 3,215 pounds of food and $686 in donations, a true testament to the positive personalities of those that call Minot home.

While the folks from Farmers Union Insurance and members of the Minot Hot Tots were getting prepped, cars were lining up down 13th Street to the railroad tracks. As cars made their way down the road and through the Corbett Field parking lot, drivers and passengers were met by Hot Tots players and Farmers Union Insurance agents to collect the canned food items and give a friendly hello. For each car, three items equaled a limited edition Magic City Hot Tots jersey. The jerseys were a hot commodity as donations continued rolling in even after the shirts were gone.

From everybody at the Lord’s Cupboard, Farmers Union Insurance and the Minot Hot Tots & Honeybees, thank you to all that braved the cold and rain to help support those in need.
