WHAT: After sifting through the thousands of names submitted by fans and then whittling them down to a final six, Traverse City Baseball is ready to introduce the new team name and logo to the community! The unveiling will be open to the public and there will be a free showing of the classic baseball move “The Sandlot” following the announcement. Free popcorn, Cracker Jack and beverages will be provided.

Tickets are now available and free to the public. Tickets can be reserved in person at the State Theatre box office or by calling 1.231.947.3447. If purchasing online at https://www.stateandbijou.org/ there will be a $.50 processing fee per transaction.

Traverse City Baseball is in their first year as a member of the Northwoods League, a 22-team collegiate summer baseball league which plays from the end of May through mid-August. Last fall a group of investors led by the West Michigan Whitecaps purchased the stadium and started the new franchise.
